So, I handed in my dissertation proposal yesterday which means that I’m now officially done with my uni modules for this year. Things on my course haven’t always taken precedence, so I’m kinda seeing my diss as a bit of a redemption, especially as my undergraduate one was my worst piece of work I’ve ever done. Apparently, you can’t write 12,000 words on a film you’ve only seen once in a week – who knew? Anyway, to celebrate, Harrison and I have naturally done the thing we do best…
We’re going to Dubai! I’d spotted a really good deal on flights on my morning commute and posed the possibility of us maybe possibly looking at them once we’d got home from work. We’ve toyed with the idea of going to Dubai as a stopover, but with the wedding costs piling up and the fact we were postponing our honeymoon for another year, I didn’t think that it was a likely proposal. As it turns out, we’re both ridiculously impulsive so, by the time we’d left the Tesco carpark, it was booked!
We’re only going for a couple of days and luckily the time difference isn’t too bad, which means that we’ll be able to make the most of our time there. There’s a couple of things that we want to do on our trip, so itinerary planning starts now. I desperately want to try sandboarding but given the last time I attempted skateboarding I broke my hand, we’ll see how viable of an option that actually is and naturally, we’ll have to try our hand at ice skating given that our hotel has its own rink (?!).
Have you ever been to Dubai? If so, I would love to hear what we should do!
