I’ve been having a bit of a love/hate relationship with blogging recently and that boils down to the fact that I am so busy and stressed and why is this year going so fast??? So, I thought I’d do a bit of an update to what has been happening as if I actually have that much of a life that people are interested in.
So, first and foremost obviously wedding news is the most exciting so we’ve finally booked to go and see our wedding venue! We’re heading out for a whistle-stop tour in October with my boyfriend’s parents where we get to have a meeting with our coordinators and look around the venue. The finalising of all the wedding details happens from October, so it will be nice that we can have some face-to-face conversations with the team before we make any rash decisions.
We’ll be flying out to Pisa and then making the drive to Perugia, staying for a couple of days and then heading home. It’s all very exciting right now but I’m mainly just relieved that we’ll be able to finally see where we’re funnelling all this money too!
Italy will be our final trip of the year as I have absolutely exhausted my holiday allowance from work, but before that, we’re going out to Greece (shock, I know! It’s not like we last went back in May…). I’m definitely not mad about it as I am missing the sun so much already. Like, why did I have to wear a waterproof puffer jacket to work this morning in the torrential rain – it’s supposed to be August @God.
This weather has come at the worst time possible because from Thursday, I’m spending a couple of nights in a tent at Boardmasters. It’s my second and final festival of the season so I’m hoping to not get drenched, however, I’m not holding my breath.
So that’s my travel update for the next couple of months. Not entirely sure how I’m supposed to go six months without a holiday after Italy, but we’ll see how it goes! Have you got any exciting travel plans coming up? Let me know because I’d love to live vicariously through you.
